TriboDyn Tri-Guard 1100 ISO 100 Synthetic Piston Compressor Oil

TriboDyn Tri-Guard 1100 is an ISO 100 (30W) synthetic piston compressor oil engineered specifically for reciprocating air compressors. It delivers up to 8,000 hours of service life — significantly longer than conventional mineral oils — with outstanding carbon and varnish control that keeps valves, rings, and cylinders clean.

With an ultra-high flash point of 262°C (503°F) and a low pour point of -45°C (-50°F), this oil provides exceptional thermal stability in demanding high-heat applications while ensuring reliable cold starts. It offers proven rust and corrosion protection, zero foam tendency, and broad OEM compatibility with Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, Quincy, Kaeser, Champion, and Sullivan Palatek.

Key Benefits:

  • Extended service life up to 8,000 hours
  • Excellent carbon and varnish control
  • Ultra-high flash point (262°C / 503°F) for thermal stability
  • Low pour point (-45°C / -50°F) for cold weather performance
  • Zero foam tendency
  • Strong rust and corrosion protection
  • Compatible with major OEM piston compressors

Recommended Applications: Designed for reciprocating piston air compressors in industrial, automotive, and commercial applications where long drain intervals, clean operation, and reliable performance across temperature extremes are required.

Why TriboDyn Tri-Guard 1100 Outperforms Ordinary Compressor Oil

TriboDyn Tri-Guard 1100 vs typical compressor oil – up to 8,000 hours service life

Up to 8,000 Hours Service Life

Typical mineral compressor oils last only 2,000–4,000 hours. Tri-Guard 1100 delivers up to 8,000 hours of reliable service — dramatically reducing oil changes, labor, disposal costs, and downtime while keeping your reciprocating air compressor running at peak efficiency.

TriboDyn Tri-Guard 1100 vs typical compressor oil – outstanding carbon and varnish control

Outstanding Carbon & Varnish Control

Carbon and varnish buildup cause valve sticking, overheating, and inefficiency in piston compressors. Tri-Guard 1100’s advanced synthetic diester-like performance and Tri-Guard™ additives provide exceptional resistance to deposits, keeping internals clean and your compressor running smoothly far longer than standard oils.

TriboDyn Tri-Guard 1100 vs typical compressor oil – superior wear, rust and corrosion protection

Superior Wear, Rust & Corrosion Protection

Humid environments and stop-start operation cause rapid wear, rust, and corrosion in reciprocating compressors. Tri-Guard 1100 passes rigorous ASTM rust tests (distilled and salt water) and delivers exceptional anti-wear protection, extending component life and reducing expensive repairs.

TriboDyn Tri-Guard 1100 vs typical compressor oil – reduced energy consumption

Reduced Energy Consumption

Poor lubrication increases friction and power draw. Tri-Guard 1100’s excellent film strength, foam control, and thermal stability reduce internal friction, lowering energy consumption and operating costs compared to standard compressor oils.
