75W-90 is ideal for most passenger cars and light trucks. 75W-140 is best for towing, hauling, and high-torque applications. 50W is engineered for heavy-duty manual transmissions and severe-service fleet use. Our Limited Slip formulas (75W-90 & 75W-140) are specifically made for positraction and limited-slip differentials.
Tri-Ex² uses premium full-synthetic base stocks and advanced EP additives that deliver the highest film strength available, and patented ceramic coating for superior thermal stability, smoother quieter operation, and longer service life compared to conventional or synthetic-blend gear oils.
No. Our Limited Slip Gear Oils already contain the proper built-in friction modifier, so you can install them directly without adding any extra additives.
We recommend using the same TriboDyn Tri-Ex² gear oil throughout the system for best performance. All our gear oils are compatible with each other, but mixing viscosities or brands may reduce the overall protection and performance.
Follow your vehicle or equipment manufacturer’s recommended service interval. In severe-service conditions (towing, heavy hauling, or commercial use), more frequent changes may be beneficial due to the extreme loads and heat our oils are designed to handle.
