TriboDyn TRI-EX² 5W-20 is a full synthetic motor oil engineered with patented ceramic coating technology — the first oil to receive a United States Functional Patent in over 30 years. This advanced formulation actively bonds to metal surfaces, creating a self-lubricating ceramic film that reduces friction and wear under extreme pressure and heat.
This oil provides LSPI (Low-Speed Pre-Ignition) protection for small-displacement turbocharged and Gasoline Direct Injected (GDI) engines, along with superior protection against thermal breakdown. It offers excellent cold-cranking capabilities, anti-wear, anti-foam, bearing corrosion, and anti-rust protection, plus enhanced rust protection for flex-fuel vehicles running on E85.
Meeting or exceeding API SP, SN Plus, SN, SM, SL, SJ and ILSAC GF-6A, GF-5, GF-4 standards, this oil is fully compatible with all other synthetic and petroleum-based motor oils. This 5W-20 viscosity is an excellent choice for a wide variety of automotive applications and is particularly well-suited for owners of Ford vehicles where 5W-20 is specified, as well as older vehicles and those where dexos certification is not required.
