Is TriboDyn an additive I put into my oil?

Use TriboDyn in the same manner as any other premium synthetic motor, gear, transmission, supercharger, or 2 cycle oil.

Is TriboDyn safe to use in my vehicle?

Yes.  TriboDyn uses the same high-quality base oils you will find in other premium full synthetic and synthetic blend oils.  The difference are the exclusive additives TriboDyn blends in with these base oils.

My vehicle says to use a certain brand of oil, will it void my warranty if I do not use that exact oil?

You should always follow your manufacturer specifications on the type and amount of oil you use. However, you are free to use whatever brand of oil you chose as long at it meets the specifications.  TriboDyn not only meets but usually EXCEEDS the specifications required by the manufacturers.  We clearly put all specifications on our bottles and on our product pages for you to be sure.  Finally, under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act, unless the manufacturer provides the oil to you free of charge, they cannot tie a warranty to a specific product you must buy. 

Will the additives in TriboDyn effect the sensors on my vehicle?

The additives found in TriboDyn, including our patented ceramic coating, is carefully engineered and blended to release on specific surfaces and at specific temperatures.  Additionally, they do not build up on sensors or other delicate materials 

Why is TriboDyn blue?

The additives in TriboDyn give the normally amber color of the base oils a grey hue, we add the blue to it to give it a more uniform color.  The blue does not impact the performance of the oil or your vehicle.

Why is TriboDyn more expensive than even other premium oils?

The additives used in TriboDyn are unique and are expensive.  Additionally, TriboDyn requires precise, temperature and condition blending in smaller batches to achieve the performance of the oil.  TriboDyn is exclusively blended, packed, and shipped in 1 facility in Mooresville, North Carolina.

Why can't I find TriboDyn at my local auto parts store or performance shop?

TriboDyn only sells direct to the public at this time to keep the prices in check.  If we sold to stores they would need to add on their profit and the oil would be extremely expensive.  Additionally, by selling direct, we can assure your complete satisfaction with your purchase.

Does TriboDyn advertise to get the word out?

TriboDyn rarely advertises and we do not sponsor race teams or athletes.  Again, we keep the cost as low as possible to make the oil accessible to everyone.  We do have racing people using TriboDyn, however, they have to purchase the product like everyone else.
